If your agency or organisation has already conducted exercises and are now looking for ways to stress/test and or delve deeper into your true capability and capacity issues for your response and recovery roles, then red teaming will give you the opportunity to challenge assumptions, identify true levels of skills and validate current capacity and capability. You might also use red teaming to stress test use of and commonality of equipment, programs and communications.
This course provides the methodologies, processes and templates required to design and deliver Red Teaming exercises.
The participant’s awareness and comprehension of individual and group preparedness, prevention, response and recovery roles and functions is highlighted due to the harnessing and supplementary injection of knowledge from the organisations own subject matter experts (The Red Team).
Red Team exercises require advanced exercise writing skills, high-level facilitation abilities and integrated technology and communication systems. Red Teaming specifically prepares team leaders, managers, leadership cadres and executives for incidents, crises and emergencies as well as ‘blue sky’ scenarios that are based on normal business processes, procedures and systems.
Based on ExMan’s exclusively developed and adapted Red Team exercise methodologies and techniques, participants obtain the knowledge and skills to undertake Red Teaming within their workplace to maintain and enhance capability, capacity and readiness.

COURSE OUTLINE
The Red Team Design and Delivery Course is conducted over two days and is focused on the high-level exercise and facilitation techniquesand follows a three-phase process:
- Decision and Design (Phase 1);
- Development and Delivery (Phase 2); and?
- Determinations (Evaluation) and Deliverables (after action/post exercise reports) (Phase 3)
Each phase is linked to the D-Cycle and learning is guided through the use of:
- Facilitated discussion and interaction; and
- Templates and practical examples to reinforce course concepts
